We have a lot of experience with restorations, and we have the awards and pedigree to prove it. High Mountain Classics has won "Best in Show" at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance along with numerous other awards for our outstanding restoration work. We have a "No Rush" policy with all of our work, but especially with restorations.
Currently, we are in the process of completely restoring a 1948 Talbot Lago Type 26 Grand Sport. This Talbot was owned by the author Clive Cussler and is one of only six such examples. When the car came to us, it had been neglected and the internal woodwork had deteriorated to the point where most of it needed to be replaced completely. Additionally, the engine had a crack in one of the cylinders and had to be completely disassembled and brazed back together.
Recently, the engine was successfully tested and reinstalled into the car, along with the Wilson Preselect Gearbox. Because we have a full machine shop and woodworking abilities, we were able to fabricate and build a lot of new pieces for the Type 26 that meet or exceed the quality demanded of a car bound for Pebble Beach.
Our past portfolio includes cars such as:
Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic
Lamborghini Countach LP400S
Delahaye Type 135MS - The Million Franc Car
Rolls Royce Phantom Series II
and many more.
